🥣 Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 Cup Dinesh Flour Mills Jau Atta

  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped (as seen in the bowl)

  • 2-3 Green Chilies, finely chopped (adjust to spice level)

  • A handful of Fresh Coriander, chopped

  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)

  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi) - for that lovely golden color

  • Salt to taste

  • Water (approx. 1.5 cups, to make a pouring consistency batter)

  • Oil or Ghee for cooking

👨🍳 Step-by-Step Recipe:

1. Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Dinesh Flour Mills Jau Atta, chopped onions, chilies, coriander, cumin seeds, turmeric, and salt.

2. Mix and Rest: Slowly add water while whisking to create a smooth, lump-free batter. It should be of pouring consistency (like crepe batter, similar to the bowl in the photo). 🌟 Pro-Tip: Let the batter rest for 10-15 minutes. Jau absorbs water slowly, and this step ensures softer cheelas.

3. Heat the Pan: Heat a non-stick tawa or skillet over medium heat. Brush it lightly with oil or ghee.

4. Cook the Cheela: Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the center of the pan. Using the back of the ladle, gently spread it outward in a circular motion to make a thin round pancake. Drizzle a little oil around the edges.

5. Flip and Crisp: Cook until the base turns golden brown and lifts easily from the pan. Flip it over and cook the other side for another minute until crispy and cooked through.

6. Serve Hot: Remove from the pan and repeat with the remaining batter. Serve these nutritious cheelas piping hot!
