Ingredients
-
Dinesh Flour Mills Khapli Wheat Atta – 2 cups
-
Desi Ghee – ½ cup (for dough + frying)
-
Powdered Jaggery / Sugar – ¾ cup (adjust to taste)
-
Milk / Water – as needed for kneading
-
Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
-
Dry Fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins, pistachios) – chopped, 2 tbsp
Method
Step 1: Make the Dough
-
In a bowl, take Dinesh Flour Mills Khapli Wheat atta.
-
Add 2–3 tbsp melted ghee and mix well till it feels crumbly.
-
Add little by little water (or milk) and knead into a stiff dough.
Step 2: Shape & Roast
-
Divide the dough into small thick rounds (like bati/mini rotis).
-
Roast them on a tawa or bake them in an oven at 180°C until crisp.
(You can also deep fry them in ghee for a richer flavor.)
Step 3: Crush & Sweeten
-
Once cooled, break the roasted batis into small pieces.
-
Grind them coarsely in a mixer or crush by hand using a mortar-pestle.
-
Mix in powdered jaggery/sugar, ghee, and cardamom powder.
Step 4: Garnish & Serve
-
Add chopped dry fruits.
-
Mix everything evenly.
-
Serve warm with a drizzle of ghee on top.
✨ Serving Tip: Traditionally enjoyed with dal-baati, churma pairs beautifully with a cup of chai as well.
