Suji Halwa Recipe for Akshaya Tritiya

🌼 Made with love and Dinesh Flour Mills Suji

🕒 Prep Time: 5 mins

🍳 Cook Time: 15 mins

🍽 Serves: 4

🧺 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Dinesh Flour Mills Suji (Semolina)

  • 3/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 2.5 cups water or milk (or a mix of both)

  • 4 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)

  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi)

  • Chopped dry fruits (cashews, almonds, raisins – as per your choice)

  • A few saffron strands (optional)

🔥 Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan. Add chopped dry fruits and sauté until golden. Remove and set aside.

  2. In the same ghee, add Dinesh Flour Mills Suji. Roast it on low flame until it turns light golden and aromatic. Keep stirring to avoid burning.

  3. Meanwhile, heat water or milk in another pan. Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron (if using). Let it come to a gentle boil.

  4. Carefully add this hot liquid to the roasted suji while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

  5. Cook on medium flame, stirring constantly, until the suji absorbs the liquid and the halwa leaves the sides of the pan.

  6. Add roasted dry fruits and give it a final mix.

✨ Serve warm as prasad or dessert with your festive thali.
