Dinesh Flour Mills Samak Rice (Barnyard Millet) is a traditional ingredient commonly used in Indian vrat and fasting recipes. Also known as Samak Chawal, Sama Ke Chawal, Samvat Rice and Vrat Ke Chawal, these small white grains can be used to prepare both savoury and sweet dishes.

INGREDIENT

Samak Rice (Barnyard Millet)

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Rinse the Samak Rice thoroughly with clean water. Cook it with water until the grains become soft. Adjust the amount of water and cooking time according to whether you are preparing khichdi, pulao, kheer or another recipe. Season according to your vrat tradition.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Store in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. Seal the pouch properly after opening or transfer the contents to a clean airtight container. Always use a clean and dry spoon.
