Easy Black Wheat Roti Recipe | Dinesh Flour Mills

Black Wheat Roti is a simple everyday Indian flatbread made with Dinesh Flour Mills Black Wheat Atta. It has a naturally darker appearance and a pleasantly earthy wheat flavour. Serve it fresh with dal, seasonal vegetables, curd or homemade pickle.

Ingredients

2 cups Dinesh Flour Mills Black Wheat Atta

Approximately ¾ cup water

½ teaspoon salt, optional

Method

Place the Black Wheat Atta and salt in a large mixing bowl.

Gradually add water and begin combining the flour.

Knead for 6 to 8 minutes until you get a soft and smooth dough.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into balls.

Dust one dough ball with dry flour and roll it into a medium-sized roti.

Place the roti on a hot tawa.

When small bubbles appear, turn it over and cook the other side.

Flip again and cook until light brown spots appear on both sides.

Apply a little ghee if desired and serve immediately.
