Benefits of Using Khand (Dinesh Flour Mills Khand-Desi Khand) Less Processed: Khand is minimally processed compared to white sugar, retaining more natural minerals and nutrients. Rich in Iron: Contains iron that can help support healthy blood production. Contains Minerals: Khand retains minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium that are typically removed during the refining process of white sugar. Lower Glycemic Index: May cause a slower rise in blood sugar levels compared to refined white sugar due to its complex structure. Traditional Medicinal Properties: In Ayurveda, Khand is considered to have warming properties and is often used in winter preparations. Authentic Flavor: Imparts a distinct caramel-like, earthy flavor to desserts that cannot be replicated with regular sugar. Supports Traditional Production: Buying products like Dinesh Flour Mills Khand-Desi Khand supports traditional sugar-making techniques and local economies. Khand works particularly well in traditional Indian desserts like halwa, kheer, and ladoos, enhancing their authentic taste while providing some nutritional benefits over refined sugar.
